Description
- Input recurring financial entries into the accounting system, including payroll and internal cost allocations, across various currencies.
- Reconcile banking activity for both client and business accounts, ensuring accuracy across international transactions.
- Support the finance team in compiling monthly financial summaries, including income statements, balance sheets, and liquidity reports.
- Maintain and validate insurance-related financial records, ensuring proper tracking of balances between clients and insurers.
- Assist in calculating and verifying client fund positions in line with financial conduct regulations, with a focus on safeguarding assets and ensuring compliance.
- Monitor account movements and prepare clear reports detailing client and insurer financial positions.
- Contribute to the creation of monthly financial dashboards and assist in preparing year-end financial statements.
- Act as a point of contact for internal teams to resolve finance-related queries and ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Participate in regular reviews of financial accounts and support external audits and regulatory filings.
- Manage payment processing across multiple banking platforms and currencies, ensuring timely and accurate execution of transactions.
Profile
- Professional accounting qualifications in progress or completed (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- A track record of working autonomously and managing competing deadlines in a high-growth or evolving business setting.
- Broad experience across core finance functions, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
- Familiarity with handling financial data across multiple ledgers and currencies.
- Prior exposure to NetSuite or similar cloud-based finance platforms is a plus.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments is desirable, with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Background in insurance or financial services would be beneficial but not essential.
