We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients. They are currently looking for a Post Trade Services - Equity Settlements AVP to join them for an initial 6 month contract, however there may be scope for extension.

Role Overview:

  • To provide BAU support for the Equity Post Trade Services function. Supervises and ensures that BAU and other daily team tasks are completed accurately and on time. Monitors progress and takes corrective action if needed. Escalates issues and challenges, reports routinely and updates management promptly.
  • Plays a key role in contributing to the delivery of team objectives and ensures work is completed within the deadline/s, to the expected standard and in accordance with operational procedures. Acts in the best interests of the team
  • Explores ways to improve efficiency and sustainability within the remit of their role. Engages with and collaborates with immediate stakeholders in order to effectively implement change. Proactively makes suggestions based on analysis and evidence.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the timely and accurate processing for Equity Post Trade Services.
  • The ability to manage Post Trade requirements relating to Settlements, Collateral Management and resolve routine problems and queries escalating more complex issues to others
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to promote quality of service, ensuring the timely escalation and resolution of issues and queries.
  • Provide regular management reporting to gauge level of errors and highlight areas that can be proactively improved upon.
  • Manage the maintenance and review of desktop procedures relating to day to day processes and administer updates via the policy and procedures database on a periodic basis in order to comply with the company policy.
  • Ensure bank policy and best practices are rigorously followed and adopted as part of the overall framework.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes by introducing systemic solutions
  • Proactively follows compliance procedures and completes tasks accurately. Attends compliance training and integrates learning and requirements into the day to day delivery of tasks, demonstrating an understanding of applicable risks and controls.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience of Post Trade Services, Settlement flow specifically in JASDEC and reconciliation processing.
  • Demonstrates good influencing and negotiations skills
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to deal effectively at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, capable of manipulating financial data
  • Self motivated, energetic, flexible and collaborative
  • Experience of 'User Acceptance Testing' (UAT).
  • Ability to identify efficiencies and suggest methods to implement change to existing process.

Location:

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients London office 2 days a week.

Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
