About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated TAX MANAGER with a strong background in accounting and tax compliance, as well as experience working in a PRACTICE setting. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's tax compliance and reporting, as well as providing strategic tax planning advice.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the Advisory Team.
- Interact with and manage clients. Client facing role immediately meeting with companies over £200 million in revenue, providing and learning tax advice.
- Preparing complex tax returns for FTSE 100 companies in industries such as Technology, Finance, Real Estate
- Oversee all aspects of the company's tax compliance and reporting, including preparing and filing tax returns, managing tax audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to management to minimise tax liabilities and optimise tax efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to support the company's business goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as finance and legal teams, to provide tax advice and support on business transactions and initiatives.
- Assist with tax-related projects and initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and transfer pricing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA qualification is preferred, or qualified by experience
- 3 years+ of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in UK Public Practice
- Has FULL working rights in the UK and will NOT require sponsorship
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify tax planning opportunities and risks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office suite.
