Are you a Quantity Surveyor, with 4-5 years builders work experience and looking to take the next step in your career?
Our client is an established SME civil engineering contractor, specialising Soft Strip, Demolition, Structural Alterations, Cut & Carve and Groundworks.
As the ideal candidate, you will have experience and enjoy working on the full project life cycle from cradle to grave, be able to work independently, in a business with no politics and want to have freedom to make your own decisions.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the pricing of projects and work packages, and delivering projects under D&B JCT & small works contracts.
- Day to day contract administration of projects from 50k to 2.7m, acting as either a specialist subcontractor or Principle Contractor.
- Attending live sites weekly to support site teams and capture any Variations.
- Review contracts for prospective works, preparing monthly forecasts and CVR's, place and manage specialist sub-contract orders, submit applications to clients, managing any change, claims and Final Accounts.
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar qualification and relevant experience
- At least 4 years' experience working for a specialist contractor delivering Builders Work &/or Soft Strip, Demolition, Structural Alterations, Cut & Carve and Groundworks.
- At least 4 years post-grad commercial experience, with full project lifecycle experience.
- Comfortable pricing works and assisting in the completion of tenders.
- Able to work independently and confident in making your own decisions.
