Senior Building Surveyor

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join its Asset Consultancy team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile, purpose-driven projects across sectors such as culture, aviation, education, commercial, and heritage.

You'll play a key role in advising clients on building performance, creative reuse, and lifecycle planning - helping them maximise the value and sustainability of their estates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver building surveying services, including technical due diligence, condition surveys, dilapidations, and defect analysis. Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation. Manage multidisciplinary teams and act as Job Leader on select projects. Provide advice on asset strategy, performance, and lifecycle planning. Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development. Support the mentoring and professional development of junior colleagues.

What They're Looking For:

• Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership, with a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline. Demonstrable experience as a Senior Building Surveyor, ideally gained within a consultancy environment. Strong technical knowledge across a variety of building types and sectors. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with confidence leading meetings and presentations. Collaborative, proactive approach and strong commercial awareness. Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
