Senior Quantity Surveyor - London

I have an exciting opportunity with a High-End Quantity Surveying consultancy who are looking to add an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to their supportive team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be based in Central London, near Cannon Street.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be offered Hybrid working.

The Company

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a forward-thinking consultancy who are looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team, as they have a strong pipeline of work for the next year. You would be joining a small but young and hard-working team of 4 people, all Quantity Surveyors.

As a company their bread and butter are High End Residential projects, including new builds and refurbishments.

The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will come in and take responsibility for leading projects and developing junior staff, with a progression pathway in sight, within the company.

The projects the Senior Quantity Surveyor will jump straight on to is a New Build Private Home with a contract value of 16M and a Hotel project with a contract value of 38M.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will need to produce cost plans, advise on cost options, produce tender documents, contract administration and Employer's Agent service and negotiate and agree interim valuations, variations and final accounts.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree
  • Ideally experience working on High End Residential projects
  • MRICS or currently working towards
  • Experience within a private practice / consultancy
  • Strong Pre and post contract knowledge Excellent attitude and team player
  • Able to support with mentoring junior colleagues

Liaising with project surveyor to assist the PM with the monthly PFR report.- Quality control.- Risk control (programme and commercial)Qualifications/Skills:- HNC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or similar.- CSCS/IOSH/SMSTS.- Experience of working at a senior level on M&E commercial projects, as well as ideally having had responsibility for full contract management.- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.- Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.- To actively contribute to the team (internal and client team).
