SEN TEACHER KEY STAGE 1 Location: Brent, London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London)
Are you a passionate and engaging SEN teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a welcoming primary SEN school in Brent (NW10). Who are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to lead a Year 1 class of 8 pupils, most of whom have an autism diagnosis and EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of pupils with autism and communication challenges
- Use visuals and symbol-supported strategies to support pre-verbal and early-verbal learners
- Lead a team of three support staff, two LSAs and one TA
- Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with the SENCO and wider team to implement EHCP targets
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a SEND setting is essential
- Confident supporting pupils with autism and complex communication needs
- Skilled in using visuals, symbols, and structured routines
- Able to lead and collaborate with support staff effectively
- Available to start immediately
