Mechanical Site Manager London 8 Months £400/day Immediate Start

We are partnering with a well-established M&E contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to deliver a high-profile commercial fit out project in London.

This is a long-term contract offering stability, a dynamic project environment, and a competitive rate of £400 per day.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and sequencing of mechanical installations.
  • Monitor progress against the programme and report regularly to the Project Director.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and tool box talks.
  • Conduct site inductions and daily briefings for staff and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and coordination of deliveries to site.
  • Act as a key liaison between the site team, client, and head office.
  • Support and shadow the Project Director with the aim of developing toward full project management responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the M&E sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical services installation including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems.
  • Commercial fit out experience.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors.
