This is the ideal opportunity to join my client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for their expertise across the civil and structural engineering landscapes, as well as their passion for sustainability. They are seeking a talented, experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside a growing team of experts, based near the sought-after, high-end area of Marylebone, Central London.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• Working on a number of high-profile Flood Risk, Surface Water, and Drainage projects for the public and private sectors, such as residential developments, airport-related developments, etc.
• Contributing to River Restoration and Flood Alleviation projects
• Authoring Flood Risk Assessments for Zones 1, 2, and 3
• Producing Surface Water Management Plans, in addition to Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies
• Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling, using the appropriate software (including TuFlow and Flood Modeller)
• Creating Residential Drainage and Sewerage designs, using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage across a number of projects
• Preparing Drainage Area Plans for submission

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or similar, relevant discipline)
• Demonstrable experience of having worked for a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority, specifically in a design role
• Extensive experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Hydraulic Modelling
• Excellent proficiency with the relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, and Causeway Flow
• Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• Some experience completing Drainage Designs
• Hold Chartership Status, or proactively working to attain this
• Prior experience of having lead design projects and/or a team
• Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
