An excellent opportunity has arisen within a highly respected Government department's Change and Transformation directorate. At this important and transformative time for the department, your Technical Assurance experience will play a key role in successfully driving the technology change and strategic objectives.
A Technical Assurance Lead is required to provide technical and design assurance across multiple work streams across the department. Working closely with stakeholders to propose, agree, and implement suitable technical solutions, you will provide strategic advice and guidance on complex technical matters, whilst providing oversight to key transformation projects.
Working as the Technical Assurance SME, key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing strategic technical advice, guidance and assurance services across a wide range of activities, projects and programmes.
- Ensuring the digital change programme aligns all Technology change activity with the architecture principles and strategic objectives.
- Responsibility for technical assurance for all Change Control processes
- Advisory on the technical delivery of changes to systems, assuring that solutions are aligned with the solution definition and provide the necessary quality
- Assuring and managing the delivery of relevant artefacts, e.g. change impact assessments, solution proposals, HLD's LLD's, logical data models and interface specifications.
- Providing technical input into the formulation of the longer-term technology/digital strategic aims
- Accountability for making technical decisions on complex technical matters where required.
Relevant qualifications, knowledge and experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a Technical Assurance Lead role.
- Experience with Microsoft stack (Office 365, Azure, Dynamics 365 CRM, SharePoint).
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (SaaS, PaaS).
- Liaise with stakeholders to translate business requirements.
- Understanding of current technology trends and products.
- Understanding of infrastructure, communications, and security technologies.
- Experience with cyber solutions to mitigate risk.
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack (Windows, SQL Server, Active Directory, BizTalk, Exchange).
Desirable
- Experience with IaaS services and virtualisation.
- Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience with ITIL methods and service management models.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications.

This role is subject to Security Clearance (SC), candidates who are SC clearable will be considered.
