Data Manager - Strategic Delivery & Governance Lead12 month fixed term contractOverviewThis is a senior data leadership role responsible for owning and delivering a multi year data warehouse and reporting transformation, working through external vendors and delivery partners. Key Responsibilities* Lead delivery of an organisation wide data and reporting transformation, including the introduction of a cloud based data warehouse* Own the relationship with outsourced data warehouse, engineering and hosting partners, holding vendors accountable for delivery, quality and outcomes* Translate business needs into clear data requirements, roadmaps and priorities, and articulate technical concepts in plain language* Establish data governance, security, quality and access standards in partnership with governance and risk teams* Act as the bridge between technical delivery teams and senior non technical stakeholders affected by data change* Embed a data driven culture by raising data literacy and ensuring data is treated as a shared organisational assetRequired Experience * Proven experience leading data warehouse or enterprise data platform transformations* Comfortable managing vendors and outsourced technical teams across design, build and operate phases* Strong understanding of modern data architectures, reporting and ingestion approaches (enough to challenge and guide delivery, not to code)* Able to quickly establish credibility with technical partners while remaining highly effective with business leaders* Confident translating complex, technical concepts into clear impacts, options and decisions for non technical audiences* Delivery focused, proactive, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a transforming environmentTechnical Skills* Cloud data warehouse platforms (eg Snowflake style architectures)* Cloud hosting and data ingestion tooling* Modern reporting and analytics platforms* Data governance, security and access control models* CI/CD and automated deployment conceptsIn accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, this position is advertised based upon DGH Recruitment Limited having first sought approval of its client to find candidates for this position.DGH Recruitment Limited acts as both an Employment Agency and Employment Business
