JIRA Security Consultant - financial services/banking

About the Role:Our client, a dynamic financial sector organization in Central London, is seeking an experienced JIRA Security Consultant for a 6-month contract. You'll optimize JIRA configurations, focusing on IT risk and change management, ensuring robust security and efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the JIRA subject matter expert, managing multiple instances.
• Develop and implement an IT risk register in JIRA with full process integration.
• Automate risk assessments and approval workflows for change requests.
• Optimize change management workflows in JIRA Service Management, including risk assessment automation and approval routing.
• Configure JIRA's change calendar for enhanced visibility and risk reduction.
• Review and improve existing JIRA configurations, automation, and dashboards.
• Create custom fields, reports, and dashboards for comprehensive risk and change tracking.
• Utilize JIRA plugins like SoftComply Risk Manager Plus for risk management.
• Conduct security audits and collaborate with IT teams to enhance system security.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven JIRA administration and configuration expertise, especially in security and IT risk management.
• Previous financial services or banking sector experience desirable.
• Experience developing risk registers and configuring change management workflows.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA Service Management and relevant plugins.
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
