Role: Service Designer

Location: London - (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months

Day rate: £450 - £520 inside IR35

Role Description:

• Problem/need scoping - deconstruct services, drawing upon user research and service-journey analysis to identify reasons for service failures, seeking out systemic issues
• Ideation - run collaborative workshops with service teams and users to ideate from needs, as-is journeys, and system maps to create service ideas, future-state journeys and future systems
• Prototyping - service rehearsals, walkthroughs, wire-framing - paper & digital
• Output & delivery - blueprints, performance frameworks, discovery to live, org change
• work with product managers and UCD leads to develop research objectives and design concepts
• Have responsibility across complex services
• Help set direction and embed good practice within teams
• Make important decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts others
• Align team activities with wider programme plans
• Must have Public Sector and Government Digital Services experience.
