VBA Developer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced VBA Developers to be based in their client's office in London, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London office 3 days per week.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract (extendable), to start ASAP.

Day rate: Competitive Market rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop professional solutions to everyday business problems as part of the EUI End User Computing (EUC) team
• Analyse requirements, design and document new IT applications, maintain and support existing applications
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of end-user applications, security environment, support, infrastructure, tooling & documentation
• Offer practical help to both technical and non-technical (internal) clients
• Understand and provide feedback on risks and control the environment

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
• Strong Excel and strong VBA skills, particularly in the Excel object model and VBA programming
• Experience building, supporting, and maintaining End User applications (Tactical tools)
• Strong ability to elicit requirements from End users
• Ability to plan work:
• Plan how to approach the work, dividing it into smaller units as required
• Accurately estimate the effort required for each unit of work
• Estimate the total elapsed time to deliver the work
• Ability to report clearly on work delivered and benefits realised, and challenges encountered
• An understanding of the risks of End User applications and how to control them
• Business analyst, stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
