Position Title: Business Unit Head, JapanLocation: Japan (Tokyo)Job Type: Full-TimeReports To: General Manager, Japan Region About the Role This senior leadership role holds full P&L responsibility for a key business unit in Japan, including acting as the representative director for two subsidiaries. The position oversees the commercial organization-sales and marketing-while partnering closely with Operations, Regulatory/Quality, Finance, and HR to drive business growth and performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning and execution across the business unit.
  • Manage P&L and oversee financial performance.
  • Drive product launch and marketing strategies in coordination with global and local teams.
  • Align sales and marketing efforts to maximize market impact.
  • Build accurate forecasts and manage supply challenges.
  • Adapt value propositions to meet local customer needs.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and opinion leaders.
  • Oversee training, events, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and strong team engagement.
Candidate Profile Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience with full P&L responsibility in the Japan healthcare or medical device market.
  • Proven success in sales and marketing strategy execution.
  • Familiarity with hospital procurement and regulatory environments.
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
