Currently looking for a temporary Draughtsman / CAD Engineer for a 6 month contract working remotely to assist in the below for a Cabin interiors company! Responsibilities:Technical Drawings:Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings for business class seats, including internal mechanisms, seat layouts, and components like reclining systems or tray tables.Ensure drawings comply with ergonomic, aesthetic, and structural requirements.Ensure designs incorporate features such as lumbar support, adjustable positions, and built-in entertainment systems while adhering to airline industry safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA or EASA guidelines).Provide detailed plans that ensure compatibility with manufacturing tools and techniques.Customization and Layout Planning:Design layouts for airline-specific configurations, including spacing, arrangement, and integration with cabin interiors.Make modifications to designs based on feedback or evolving requirements.Maintain thorough documentation for use in prototyping and production.Skills Required:Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Attention to detail and precision.Knowledge of ergonomics and human factors.Familiarity with airline seating regulations and certifications.In essence, a draughtsman in this field plays a critical role in turning innovative business-class seating concepts into functional, manufacturable products that prioritize passenger comfort, safety, and design aesthetics.Any questions please let me know!
