Our client in Northeast London is seeking HGV Mechanics to maintain and repair a large range of vehicles and machinery of varying sizes. The HGV Mechanic will require a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics or similar, and is experienced in diagnosing and repairing systems such as hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and sensor/safety systems. The HGV Mechanic will also have a full UK driving licence, abe ble to work under pressure, and can work well with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, service and repair a large fleet of vehicles and machinery of varying sizes
  • Perform electrical diagnosis and repair any faults
  • Accurately record and update any logs and records
  • Make sure the area is clean and safe
  • Adhere to any health and safety policies and procedures
  • Carry out other duties that might be reasonably requested

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Time served mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Experience working on variety of different sized vehicles
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Have strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics and repair, and sensor or safety systems
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Salary: £40,000 + OT (OTE £44,000)
