Children's Social Worker - Assessment & Intervention 39.04

Location: Perceval House, Ealing Rate: 39.04 per hour (London Pledge capped rate) Hours: 35 per week (no compressed hours) Contract: 3-month rolling assignment Caseload: Children

About the Role

Join Ealing's Assessment and Intervention Team as an experienced Children's Social Worker. This is a frontline statutory role managing referrals, assessments, and safeguarding interventions for children and families. You will work in a fast-paced environment, making timely decisions to protect children and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete referrals and assessments under the Children Act 1989.
  • Undertake Section 47 enquiries, Child Protection investigations, and Child in Need planning.
  • Prepare and present court reports, statements, and care plans.
  • Manage complex caseloads within statutory timescales.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Proven frontline experience in referral and assessment.
  • Strong court work experience and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of PLO, safeguarding thresholds, and statutory guidance.
Working Arrangements
  • Hybrid model: office-based and remote working (not likely to change).
  • Equipment provided (collection from Perceval House required).
