The Operational Strategy Consultant will oversee and improve the day-to-day operational running of the business. They will work closely with Sales, Delivery, Finance, HR and external partners to provide clear visibility of capacity, utilisation, margin and business performance and is therefore a key role to helping the business scale effectively.

Description
- Manage the day-to-day operational running of the business, ensuring sales commitments are aligned with delivery capacity, resources and commercial risk.
- Oversee resource planning across consultants, support teams, subcontractors and external delivery partners.
- Maintain clear visibility of utilisation, capacity, billing readiness, revenue streams and operational performance.
- Improve operational systems, data quality, reporting and forecasting across CRM, resourcing, timesheet and finance tools.
- Work closely with Sales, Delivery, Finance and HR to support commercial decision-making, budgeting, profitability and scalable growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual effort and introduce automation or AI-enabled efficiencies.
Profile
A successful Operational Strategy Consultant should have:
- Experience in operations management preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of resource management, utilisation, capacity planning and delivery forecasting.
- Commercially astute, with confidence working with financial and operational data such as margins, billing readiness and cost-to-serve.
- Proven ability to design, implement and embed scalable operational processes and business rhythms.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and supporting business growth in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Job Offer
- Salary up to £100,000 dependent on the level of experience.
