Job Title: Records Officer
Location: Ealing (Hybrid working, 3 days office / 2 remote, after training)
Hourly rate 18.86 PAYE / 24.92 Umbrella per hour
Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours

We're looking for a meticulous and proactive Records Officer to join our Children's Services team. This is your chance to play a key role in safeguarding information and ensuring smooth access to critical records that support the wellbeing of children and families across our borough.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain and improve electronic and paper records systems across Children's Services.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and retention policies.
- Coordinate Access to Records requests and liaise with internal teams and external agencies.
- Support data quality and integrity on the MOSAIC system.
- Provide reports and insights to senior managers and contribute to statutory returns.
- Lead on archiving, scanning, and retrieval of sensitive records.
- Champion a culture of excellent information and records management.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using the MOSAIC system.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Knowledge of data protection legislation and confidentiality protocols.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Confidence in supporting colleagues and improving data processes.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Children's Services or a similar setting.
- Experience using MOSAIC (desirable)
- Ability to analyse and improve current systems and workflows.
- Familiarity with Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
