Description

• Oversee financial aspects of property projects, from initial calculations to the final figures.
• Seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money while achieving the required standards and quality.
• Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs.
• Manage and coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and workers.
• Ensure that all work complies with legal regulations and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts and tenders.
• Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.

Profile

A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:

• A degree in quantity surveying
• Knowledge of construction, materials, and industry.
• Proficiency in IT, numeracy and financial management.
• The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people.
• Negotiation, team work, and leadership skills.
