MMP Consultancy are working with a respected Midlands-based housing provider to recruit a Senior Surveyor. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced property professional to lead a small team while continuing to apply your technical surveying expertise. You'll manage a patch of around 500 homes, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money in all repair and maintenance activity. This role is ideal for a confident leader who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and making a direct impact on homes and communities. Role Overview As a Senior Surveyor, you'll:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for a small team of surveyors, offering technical oversight and guidance.
  • Take responsibility for diagnosing and resolving complex building issues, including damp & mould, structural faults, and major repairs.
  • Oversee HHSRS inspections and ensure health & safety compliance is always met.
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc planned works and ensure consistent service quality.
  • Play a key role in improving the resident experience and maintaining safe, secure housing stock.

What We're Looking For

  • A strong background in surveying residential properties, ideally in social housing.
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring surveyors or technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of damp and mould issues, HHSRS, and building pathology.
  • Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates and housing repairs legislation.
  • A proactive, resident-focused approach with strong communication skills.
