A prestigious university in Central London is seeking a Handyperson to join their Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of fabric maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the campus facilities for staff, students, and visitors. Day to Day of the role:

• Carry out planned and routine maintenance across the campus.
• Undertake maintenance and fabric repairs with a focus on carpentry, painting, and decorating.
• Conduct visual checks and inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Manage individual workload efficiently while collaborating with Technicians.
• Adhere to compliance standards and provide excellent customer service.
• Utilise IT systems, including an iPad/CAFM system, to manage assigned work effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance/fabric roles with relevant qualifications.
• Knowledge in carpentry, painting, and decorating disciplines.
• Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel.
• A flexible attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• A willingness to learn, develop, and undertake further training as needed.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience managing work through an iPad/CAFM system.
• First Aid certification.
• IOSH Working Safely qualification or similar.
